Whicher Range Energy
Whicher Range Energy (WRE) is an Australian-owned unlisted company with assets in the South Perth Basin, near the town of Busselton approximately 280km southern of Perth, Western Australia. Whicher Range Energy’s vision is to develop a significant gas resource for Western Australia, and help address the State’s domestic gas issues and the reliance on North West Shelf dominated gas supply. In doing so, the Company expects to deliver exceptional value from a gas resource that is ideally located close to growing markets.
Exploration Permit - EP408
Exploration Permit EP408, in the onshore South Perth Basin near the town of Busselton, is approximately 280km south of Perth, Western Australia.
The Permit contains the Whicher Range and Wonnerup Gas Fields which were discovered in 1968 and 1971 respectively.
Exploration Permit - EP381
Whicher Range South, is located immediately south of Whicher Range in neighbouring permit. EP381 is a significant potential extension to the Whicher Range field but is yet to be validated with the drill bit.It is a compelling high probability appraisal target which would add substantially (~1TCF) to GIP volumes associated with Whicher Range.

Whicher Range Energy Pty. Ltd. is an Australian-owned unlisted company with assets in the Southern Perth Basin, near the town of Busselton, approximately 280km south of Perth, Western Australia.The Company’s assets are contained in Exploration Permits EP381 and EP408, and have an estimated >5 TCF of gas in place. The Whicher Range Gas Field has had five wells drilled on the structure, each intersecting significant gas columns
(exceeding 650m).

"Government funds AUD$750,000 for conducting technical studies on the Whicher Range gas field."
A joint research project on Whicher Range reservoir has received formal Government approval and will be funded by the State of Western Australia via the Geological Survey of Western Australia.
